Crisp hairline serifs shine on stationery, foil stamping, and packaging; add slight offset for small decals.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Lonika is a high-contrast romantic editorial serif with floral dots and swashes: fine hairline hairlines against heavy stems, ball terminals that finish in a small flower, swept swash capitals that curl off the first letter and a tall cap height that fills a heading. The hairlines and the floral dots are the finest elements and both silt on textured stock. It needs roughly 30 mm for the flower dot and the swash to read, and it is best in one fine ink on coated or smooth card, or a foil impression above 40 pt.

A high-contrast floral serif gives a wedding an engraved plate rather than a script. The floral dots hold at 30 pt on an invitation, and the swash capitals sign the couple's names with a drawn flourish.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 130 x 180 mm, names 30 pt with 12 mm swash clearance, details 9/13 pt, 18 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 18 pt, courses 9/12 pt. Seal 38 mm round, monogram 22 mm, 3 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A 38 mm seal at a 22 mm monogram fills the floral terminals into a solid disc. Use the initials alone on seals, and pour one seal before the batch.
A romantic editorial serif reads as an engraved label rather than a modern mark, which is what a small perfumer wants on a box. The swashes hold at 28 mm on a box, and one fine ink prints the box and the label in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Box print 150 x 100 mm, word 34 mm with 10 mm swash clearance, 10 mm margins. Bottle label 90 x 70 mm, word 24 mm, 5 mm margins. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 16 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 90 x 70 mm label wrapped on a curve pulls the hairlines past the die line and the blade clips the swash. Pull the word in 4 mm, and check one label on an empty bottle before the run.
A high-contrast floral serif turns a fashion opener into a printed plate rather than a styled web headline. The swashes hold at 56 pt on coated stock, and the hairlines keep a long title elegant.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Opener 210 x 297 mm, title 56 pt with 12 mm swash clearance, standfirst 11/15 pt, body 9/13 pt over two columns of 82 mm, 18 mm margins. Pull quote 40 pt.
Pre-production check
At 40 pt on the pull quote the hairlines silt on an uncoated sheet and the quote reads as pale marks. Keep the face on coated stock at 48 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
