Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Karam is a horizontal pixel-sliced digital glitch slab display: a squared slab skeleton cut into thin horizontal bands that shift sideways by a few pixels, with small chromatic offsets at the slice boundaries that read as a broken video frame. The slice offset is the design, and any scaling that is not a whole-pixel multiple turns the slices into uneven bars. It needs roughly 32 mm at whole-pixel multiples for the slice to read, and it is best as a flat three-colour print on coated stock, or one ink where the offsets print as knockouts.

A glitch slab turns a technology feature into its own broken frame. The slices hold at 72 pt on a coated cover, and three flat inks keep the offsets crisp against a dark ground.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 72 pt with 12 mm slice clearance, cover lines 10/14 pt over two columns of 82 mm, 18 mm margins and a 12 mm head. Opener 52 pt. Section head 26 pt.
Pre-production check
At 26 pt on the section head the slices moiré against the halftone screen and the head reads as a wave. Keep the face on coated stock at 44 pt and above, and proof one spread at 1:1.
A sliced glitch slab reads as a screen-based studio mark rather than a corporate logo. The slices hold at 26 mm on a card, and three flat inks print the card and the decal in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 26 mm with 8 mm slice clearance, details 7/9 pt, 5 mm margins. Door decal 200 x 300 mm, word 60 mm, 20 mm margins. Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 90 mm, 25 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 200 x 300 mm decal at 60 mm traps air in the slice gaps and the vinyl lifts along the bars. Use a wet-apply method, and apply one decal before the run.
A glitch slab reads across a field at night where a solid face would block out. The slices hold at 160 mm on a poster, and three flat inks print the poster and the tote from one separation.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 160 mm with 15 mm slice clearance, details 44 mm, 20 mm margins. Stage banner 3000 x 800 mm, word 280 mm, 60 mm safe edge. Tote print 300 x 300 mm, word 80 mm, 25 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Screen printed on a tote at 80 mm the slices bridge and fill after a wash. Use a 2 mm stencil bridge, and wash one sample before the order.
