Visual anatomy & craft review
Hello Chicago is a rounded monoline bubble-marker sans: fat even strokes with fully rounded ends, open counters, a slight tilt on some characters and a friendly level baseline. The rounding keeps the face warm and closes the counters at small sizes, and the even weight prints honestly in one ink. It needs roughly 24 mm for the rounded end and the counter to read, and it is best in one bright ink on white, or a single dark colour on pastel card where the rounded ends stay open.

A rounded bubble-marker reads as a friendly shop sign rather than a corporate logo, which is what a small café wants on its cups. The even stroke holds at 24 mm, and one ink prints the cup and the card in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cup print 70 x 50 mm, word 16 mm with 5 mm counter clearance, 5 mm margins. Loyalty card 85 x 55 mm, header 10 pt, rules 0.5 mm, 5 mm margins. Window decal 600 x 200 mm, word 90 mm, 20 mm edge clearance.
Pre-production check
A 70 x 50 mm cup panel at 16 mm closes the rounded counters and the name prints as a solid pill. Raise cup type to 22 mm, and check one printed cup before the order.
A rounded marker sans reads as a teacher's own lettering rather than a purchased banner. The fat stems hold at 160 mm on a wall, and one ink prints the display and a whole class set of name plates in one pass.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Display 1200 x 400 mm, letters 160 mm with 12 mm counter clearance, 20 mm margins. Name plate 120 x 40 mm, name 16 mm, 4 mm margins. Sticker 45 mm round, word 9 mm, 3 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
At 9 mm on a 45 mm sticker the rounded counters close and the name reads as a coloured disc. Keep stickers to an initial, and print one sheet before the class set.
A rounded marker sans reads as a home-made party card rather than a typeset one, which is what a family birthday wants. The even weight holds at 36 mm, and one ink prints the invite and the wraps as one set.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, word 36 mm with 8 mm counter clearance, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 120 x 100 mm, word 40 mm with a 6 mm stick slot and 12 mm clear. Cup wrap 200 x 90 mm, word 20 mm, 12 mm from the rim.
Pre-production check
A cup wrap printed across the taper doubles the rounded terminal at the seam and the word reads as a stripe. Keep the word inside the flat 60 mm centre band, and wrap one cup before the party.
