Visual anatomy & craft review
The H is drawn with two even stems joined by a level bar, and every letter that follows keeps that single width: the a closes a round bowl, the n holds two equal arches, the d carries a tall stem, the w is built from four even diagonals and the r keeps a short arm. Because the weight is a true monoline, the counters stay open at small sizes and the word reads as a marker line rather than a brush stroke. Nothing connects, the terminals are fully rounded, and the letterfit is tight enough that a long word holds a single line. The yellow paint sweep behind, the thin line-art leaves and the three caption lines are presentation; the lettering is the two words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Handwritten Monoline’s stroke geometry.
The even marker line reads at a distance and looks written by hand, and the round letters stay open at the small sizes used on shelf signage.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the header at 70 mm on an A2 board, keep the times and prices in a plain 18 mm sans, and hold 25 mm between the header and the first line of details.
Pre-production check
School printers thin a monoline unevenly; print one copy on the classroom machine and confirm the round bowls have not filled.
The monoline hand gives a worksheet a personal note without losing legibility, and the open counters survive photocopying at 12 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the header at 20 pt at the head of an A4 page, keep the tasks in a 10 pt sans at 14 pt leading, and hold 8 mm between the header and the first task line.
Pre-production check
Photocopies close small round counters; check a copy at full size and open the a and o if the ink begins to bridge.
The even width suits small labels and the separate letters stay readable at 12 pt, which is where most classroom labelling happens.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the contents at 12 pt on a 50 by 20 mm box label, keep the room number at 6 pt beneath it, and leave 3 mm of margin so the round ends stay inside the cut.
Pre-production check
Labels on plastic boxes peel at the ends; print a sheet, apply one and check that the monoline does not scuff through after a term.
