Plain Halloween capitals with irregular vertical rhythm and flat terminals
Halloween Vintage is a plain capital alphabet in which the letters are condensed, the vertical rhythm shifts slightly and the terminals stay flat, so a word reads as cut paper lettering rather than as a decorated seasonal face.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The H keeps two tall stems and a low bar, the A carries a flat crossbar, the double L rises into two even stems and the W keeps four deep valleys, all at a heavy even weight with flat ends and no serifs at all. The irregularity is small and systematic: letters sit a degree or two off plumb and the widths shift, which is what keeps the face from reading as a condensed grotesque at 60 pt and gives it a hand-cut quality. Because the weight is heavy and the shapes simple, the face reads at 40 mm on a printed sign and at 14 pt on a label. The dark ground, the orange ink, the bats and the two caption lines are presentation; the display face is the two words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Halloween Vintage’s stroke geometry.
The condensed heavy letters read at 12 cm from a lane, and the flat terminals suit a printed or painted board where detail would be lost outdoors.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an 800 by 400 mm board: set the greeting at 12 cm across the upper half, set the dates in a 4 cm caps sans below, and leave 9 cm of border so the uneven stems stay clear of the frame.
Pre-production check
Outdoor light flattens an orange ink on a pale board; check the sign in daylight and darken the ink rather than thickening the strokes.
The plain capitals read at 12 pt on a kraft label, and the irregular rhythm gives a seasonal product a cut-paper character without a novelty face.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 50 by 65 mm kraft label: set the product at 12 pt, set the weight in a 5 pt caps sans beneath, and keep 4 mm of margin so the flat terminals are not cut by the rounded corner.
Pre-production check
Kraft closes a flat terminal into a soft edge; check a printed label on the actual stock and keep the face above 11 pt.
The heavy condensed blocks carry a poster at 100 pt, and the irregular rhythm keeps a plain title from looking like a supermarket sign.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 poster: set the event name at 100 pt in two lines with 20 mm leading, set the time in a 16 pt caps sans beneath, and keep 25 mm of margin so the letters stay inside the bleed on every edge.
Pre-production check
Two tight condensed lines can look like one block; check the poster at distance and open the leading rather than reducing the point size.
