Ultra-condensed thin sans with tall stems and flat terminals
Flamingo is an ultra-condensed thin sans in which the stems run very tall, the terminals stay flat and the counters narrow to slots, so a single word reads as a 1920s film title card.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The F sets three thin arms on a narrow stem, the L turns a sharp corner, the A pinches to a point, the M squeezes four thin stems into a narrow frame and the N keeps a hairline diagonal, all at a thin even weight with flat terminals and an extremely condensed proportion. The proportion is the character: the face fits a long title into a narrow column, which is how the sample sets one word across a poster edge to edge. Because the stems are hairline, it needs 40 pt upward and a smooth ground, and it should never carry a paragraph. The red field, the photograph, the small caption grid and the credit lines are presentation; the dark condensed title is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Flamingo’s stroke geometry.
The condensed thin caps set a long title on one line, and the flat terminals give a poster a period film look at 100 pt on a printed sheet.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 poster: set the title at 100 pt across the middle, keep 30 mm of margin at each side, and set the screening dates in a 12 pt condensed caps beneath with 20 mm of clearance.
Pre-production check
Hairline stems printed at 100 pt on uncoated stock break up; check the proof and specify a coated sheet for the title.
The tall thin fit suits a narrow bottle, and the flat terminals hold a house name at 20 pt running up a label in one ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 35 by 90 mm label: set the house name at 20 pt running vertically up the label, set the volume in a 6 pt sans at the foot, and keep 4 mm from the die so the thin stems stay whole.
Pre-production check
Thin stems printed along a label curve distort; check the applied label and keep the word on the flat centre of the panel.
The condensed caps mark a section without an illustration, and the thin stems keep a long divider word airy at 72 pt on a plain page.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 divider: set the section title at 72 pt centred, set the number in a 12 pt caps beneath, and keep 60 mm of clear space above and below so the word stands alone.
Pre-production check
A thin divider word set among body text loses its effect; check the page and keep the surrounding area empty.
