Visual anatomy & craft review
Fantasy Brooklyn is a high-contrast editorial serif supplied in regular and italic, built around interlocking double-o ligatures that turn a repeated vowel into a pair of joined bowls. The construction is fashion-editorial: tall ascenders, sculpted stress and tight spacing that relies on the ligature to relieve it. It needs roughly 24 mm at the size where the interlock reads as a pair of loops rather than a smudge, and it is a cover and masthead face. Italic carries emphasis without a second family, which is useful on a poster or a lookbook.

Interlocking double-o bowls are a recognisable editorial gesture, which is what a fashion cover is competing on. Regular and italic let a spread shift tone without a second family.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cover 210 x 297 mm, title 72 pt, 20 mm margins, cover lines 11/15 pt. Masthead 300 mm wide, 60 pt, 40 units tracking. Spread 420 x 297 mm, headline 90 pt, body 9/13 pt on two 80 mm columns.
Pre-production check
A web-offset run drops hairlines under 0.1 mm, and a high-contrast serif over coated stock looks correct while the underline rules look fine. Confirm the coated grade and set a 0.12 mm minimum stroke before the run.
Editorial contrast reads as a couple with a designer, which is the tone a gallery wedding wants over a script. The double-o ligature gives a name with a repeated vowel a quiet signature.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 26 pt, details 9/14 pt, 16 mm margins. Vow book 110 x 160 mm, cover 22 pt. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 pt, dishes 9/13 pt.
Pre-production check
Names are set larger than details and an italic line can look like a printer's afterthought if the weight is off. Print one proof with both cuts and compare the apparent weight at 26 pt before choosing.
Editorial contrast reads as a label rather than a logo, which is what a small clothing brand wants on a woven tag. Italic gives the same family a second voice for a season name.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Tag 45 x 90 mm, word 10 mm, 4 mm clearance around the eyelet, 3 mm trim margin. Lookbook 210 x 297 mm, cover 70 pt, caption 8/11 pt, 20 mm margins. Window decal 500 x 300 mm, word 120 mm, 15 mm cut margin and 10 mm from the glass edge.
Pre-production check
Woven tags reduce any line under 1 mm to a single yarn, and a high-contrast serif at 10 mm disappears. Request a woven proof at 1:1, and switch that tag to a printed label if the thin strokes break.
