Geometric display caps inlaid with a greek-key maze pattern
Davi is a geometric display capital alphabet in which every stroke is a wide band filled with a drawn greek-key maze, so a word reads as gilded metalwork rather than as lettering.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The D closes a rectangular bowl with a maze running through it, the A carries a stepped apex, the V narrows to a flat point and the I stands as a single banded bar, all at a display weight with square corners, an inlaid meander drawn inside each stroke and a thin outer keyline. The inlay is the character: the maze follows the stroke, which is why the sample sets one word in gold on a dark ground with a keyline around it. Because the inlay lines are fine, the face needs 60 pt before they read, and it wants two tones rather than a gradient. The dark pattern ground, the palm leaves, the corner ornaments and the small caps are presentation; the gold display word is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Davi’s stroke geometry.
The inlaid maze gives a hotel bar sign a metalwork feel, and the wide bands read at 60 mm on an engraved brass plate in two tones.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Engrave a 500 by 180 mm plate: set the word at 60 mm, keep the maze line at 1.5 mm, and cut the outer keyline as a chamfer so the pattern survives polishing.
Pre-production check
Polishing a 1 mm maze line rounds it away; check a test plate and deepen the engraving before the final pass.
The inlay gives an annual a cover with weight, and the geometric skeleton holds one word at 80 pt on a printed sheet with a metallic spot.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A5 cover: set the word at 80 pt in one spot metallic, keep 20 mm of margin, and set the year in a 9 pt caps sans beneath in a dark ink rather than a second metallic.
Pre-production check
A metallic spot on an uncoated sheet sinks and closes the maze; check the proof and specify a coated stock for the metallic pass.
The geometric inlay suits a deco theme, and the banded strokes hold a short name at 45 mm on a painted panel in two tones.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Paint a 600 by 300 mm panel: set the name at 45 mm, keep the maze gap at 2 mm all the way round, and paint the outer keyline first so the inlay reads against the fill.
Pre-production check
Painting the maze without a mask closes the lines; check the panel and cut a vinyl mask rather than lettering freehand.
