Outlined ornamental blackletter
Magic Round is an outlined ornamental blackletter in white on a dark illustrated scene: letters traced with a double line and filled with a diamond lattice, with huge swashes that sweep beneath and between the words, set in two lines above a landscape of a hooded figure, an eye and a volcano, with small technical marks at the corners.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The plate is a heavy illustration with two words set into it, and the type is built to be drawn rather than written: the strokes are outlined, the fill is a diamond lattice, and the swashes run far beyond the words, so the block reads as an engraved ornament rather than as lettering. That construction sets a large size floor, because the lattice and the double line close first. The corner marks and the glyph count in the lower right are genuine product copy. Because the ornament is this elaborate, the face suits a poster, a cover and a shirt, and it needs a large format where the lattice can be read rather than a small label.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Magic Round’s stroke geometry.
An ornamental blackletter sets a themed poster as an engraved plate, and the swashes fill a large format where a simple face would look bare.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A1 poster: the event at 180 mm cap height, the acts in a 20 mm blackletter, and the venue at 12 mm. Keep 30 mm margins and print two colours on a dark stock.
Pre-production check
Check the A1 at five metres, where a lattice can close; keep it above 3 mm. Confirm the 12 mm venue reads at two metres and that the swashes clear the illustration focal point.
An ornamental blackletter frames a fantasy cover, and the swashes give the title a silhouette that survives at thumbnail size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 100 mm cap height across 190 mm, the author in a 12 pt serif, and the imprint at 8 pt. Print two colours on a coated stock and keep 22 mm margins at the head.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 100 mm, where a lattice can fill with ink; keep it above 1 mm. Confirm the 8 pt imprint survives lamination and that the swashes clear the trim.
An ornamental display prints as merch for a band with an elaborate identity, and the swashes fill a back print. The swashes fill a back print.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 300 mm back graphic: the band at 70 mm cap height, the album at 22 mm, and two inks on a dark shirt. Keep the lattice above 3 mm and place the graphic 120 mm below the collar.
Pre-production check
Check the screen at actual mesh, where a 3 mm lattice can fill; open it to 4 mm. Wash-test one shirt and confirm the double line stays continuous after five cycles.
