Visual anatomy & craft review
Bellaty is a heart-swashed slanted signature script with twenty-two ligatures and multilingual support: a moderate contrast stroke on a firm slant, joined letters, and swashes that finish in a small heart shape at the entry and exit. The hearts are the design and close first at small sizes, and the slant keeps a long name on one line. It needs roughly 24 mm for the heart swash and the join to read, and it is best in one warm ink on smooth card, or a foil impression above 36 pt where the heart lobes still separate.

A heart-swashed signature script reads as a hand-signed card rather than a designed logo, which is what a small jeweller wants on a box. The hearts hold at 22 mm on a card, and one ink prints the card and the box in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 85 x 55 mm, word 22 mm with 8 mm swash clearance, details 7/9 pt, 6 mm margins. Box print 150 x 100 mm, word 34 mm, 10 mm margins. Wrap band 200 x 40 mm, word 16 mm, 8 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 200 x 40 mm band at 16 mm crosses the fold and the heart splits when wrapped. Keep the word 8 mm clear of the crease, and wrap one band before the order.
A signature script with heart swashes signs a wedding invitation in a hand rather than a plate. The hearts hold at 26 pt, and twenty-two ligatures keep a long double surname joined without gaps.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 130 x 180 mm, names 26 pt with 10 mm swash clearance, details 9/13 pt, 16 mm margins. Menu 120 x 210 mm, header 16 pt, courses 9/12 pt. Place card 90 x 50 mm, name 12 pt, 4 mm margins.
Pre-production check
At 12 pt on a place card the heart swash closes into a comma and the name reads as a typo. Raise place cards to 16 pt, and proof one card before the suite.
A heart-swashed script carries the sentiment inside the lettering rather than beside it. The swash holds at 24 pt on a card, and one warm ink prints the card, the seal and the sleeve from one file.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card A6, greeting 24 pt with 8 mm swash clearance, note 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Seal label 38 mm round, word 7 mm, 3 mm die margin. Sleeve 160 x 80 mm, word 18 mm, 8 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 38 mm seal at 7 mm loses the heart entirely under wax. Use an initial only on the seal, and pour one seal before the batch.
