Thin irregular separate capitals
Windy is a set of tall thin hand-drawn capitals in white on a dark leaf background: uneven stems, open counters and slight spacing changes from letter to letter, drawn as a light display with a drawn squiggle beneath.

Visual anatomy & craft review
WINDY fills the middle of the card in five capitals, and each letter is drawn rather than constructed: the W is a series of four thin strokes with different lengths, the I has a slight lean, the N has a wobble in the diagonal, the D is a tall narrow bowl and the Y lifts two thin arms. The spacing is deliberately uneven, so the word reads as written by hand on a surface, and a small drawn squiggle sits beneath the whole word as a flourish. The ground is a dark photograph of leaves with two gold and sage paper shapes, and two captions above and below name the face in tracked caps. The face is a light display for posters, covers and merchandise: the thin strokes need a size where they stay solid, the irregular spacing means it should be set as a word rather than a sentence, and white on a dark ground is its natural setting.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Windy’s stroke geometry.
Thin drawn capitals suit a wedding that happens outdoors, and the light strokes read as chalk on a board rather than as signage.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 500 by 350 mm board: set the greeting at 110 pt on one row, keep 22 mm of clear ground beneath before the names at 22 pt, and hold 20 mm of border on all four sides.
Pre-production check
Thin stems are hard to paint on a board; print one at the final size and check the stroke width before the set.
A hand-drawn capital face gives a lookbook a cover that looks made rather than templated, and one colour on a dark print is cheap.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 by 297 mm cover: set the studio name at 90 pt on one row, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the season at 14 pt, and hold 20 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Thin white strokes on a dark cover can fill in on uncoated stock; print one on the intended paper and check the counters before the run.
A light hand-drawn word lets a portrait photograph remain the subject of the page, where a heavy display would fight the face.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm opener: set the title at 90 pt on one row, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the standfirst at 11 pt, and hold 22 mm of margin at both sides.
Pre-production check
The uneven spacing can look like a fault at 90 pt; print one opener at the final size and check the rhythm before the issue.
