Solid varsity slab with flat serifs
Varsity Valor is a varsity display face in solid black on a pale ground: heavy capitals with thick flat serifs, flat apexes and a tight fit, with a small hatched pattern behind the words and tracked capital lines above and below.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Two words are stacked and set large, and the face is a varsity slab without any outline or distress: the stems are heavy and even, the serifs are blocks as thick as the stems, the A and the V come to flat apexes, the S closes into squared shoulders, the R carries a straight leg and the L and the E keep short arms. The letters are fitted tightly so each word reads as a solid brick, and the counters are narrow rectangles, which is what gives the face its collegiate weight. Nothing decorates the letterforms themselves, so the sample adds two light hatched bands in the background at the corners and keeps the rest of the page open. Two tracked capital lines name the product and the studio, the first above the block and the second below it. Varsity Valor is a display face for team wear, school signage, sports posters and merchandise, and it needs capitals, a short word and either a big solid block or a two-colour print.

A solid varsity slab is the clearest thing to print on a garment, and with no outline or distress it survives a single-colour screen without losing detail.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 260 mm chest width: set the club name at 60 mm cap height, keep 24 mm of clear ground beneath before the year at 14 mm, and hold 55 mm from each sleeve seam.
Pre-production check
A tight fit on stretch fabric merges letters; print one garment and check the gaps between the letters before the squad order.
A solid block reads across a shopfront at speed, and the flat serifs stay sharp when the sign is cut from vinyl rather than printed.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 1200 by 300 mm panel: set the name at 190 pt on one line, keep 45 mm of clear ground beneath before the hours at 30 pt, and hold 36 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
Vinyl cutting can round the flat serifs; ask for one cut sample in the real material before the panel is produced.
A solid varsity line marks a section without artwork, and the even weight holds the divider together on a page with a photograph behind it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm divider: set the section title at 84 pt on one line, keep 28 mm of clear ground beneath before the summary at 11 pt, and hold 22 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
A black block over a dark photograph loses its edge; place the divider on a clear area and proof the page flat.
