Tracing paths with guides
Tracing is a teaching set shown in black on a pale blue sheet: a large word drawn twice — once as solid letters with guide lines and arrows, once as dashed and dotted outlines on ruled guide lines — above three drawn worksheet pages and a plain caption block at the foot.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The plate is a demonstration of a system rather than of a single face, and the comparison is the useful part: the same word appears solid and then as dashed and dotted paths, so a teacher can see the progression from a model to a trace. The drawing is a plain capital construction with guide lines, so the set is a teaching tool and the size floor is set by the dashed path, which must stay wide enough for a pencil. The drawn worksheets at the foot are staging that show the intended output. The caption block is product copy that names the count of worksheets. It suits a classroom, a workbook and a nursery sign.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Tracing’s stroke geometry.
A tracing set gives a worksheet a progression, and the dashed paths teach the stroke order without a separate diagram. The comparison shows the method.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A4 worksheet: the model word at 30 mm cap height, two dashed rows at 30 mm on 12 mm guides, and one ink on a white sheet. Keep 20 mm margins and leave 10 mm between letters.
Pre-production check
Check the sheet at actual size, where the dashed path can be too fine for a pencil; keep it above 1.2 mm. Confirm the sheet photocopies with the guides visible and that the arrows print.
A tracing face suits a reception door, and the solid letters read at a distance where the dashed cut would disappear. The solid cut reads at distance.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A4 panel: the class at 45 mm cap height in the solid cut, the age group at 16 mm, and one ink on a light card. Keep 22 mm margins and laminate for the door.
Pre-production check
Check the panel at 45 mm, where the guide lines can clutter the name; remove them there. Confirm the 16 mm group reads at two metres and that the laminate sits flat.
A teaching face names the workbook as practice, and the ruled construction signals the method on a cover. The ruled forms signal practice.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A5 cover: the title at 34 mm cap height, the subtitle in a 10 pt sans, and the number at 8 pt. Keep 20 mm margins and print two colours on a light card.
Pre-production check
Check the 34 mm title, where the dashed cut can fill; use the solid cut. Confirm the subtitle reads at arm's length and that the cover takes a laminate.
