Slanted classic script with curled capitals
Tartaglia is a slanted classic script in gold-brown on a doily: high-contrast strokes, curled capitals with ball terminals and a ligature-rich alphabet, presented inside a lace oval.

Visual anatomy & craft review
Tartaglia is written in a classic script whose capital T opens into a wide curl that returns over the rest of the word, and the lower case is drawn with a marked slant and a strong contrast between the broad downstrokes and the fine joins. The a and the g carry full round bowls, the l and the t rise into narrow loops, and the final flourish runs out from the last letter and turns back. The word sits inside a lace doily die-cut on a warm grey ground, and a caption beneath lists the character count, the ligatures and the alternates. The face is a formal script for invitations, certificates and packaging: it needs a large size to show the contrast, it rewards the alternates and swashes, and it should be set in one ink on a pale ground.

A high-contrast classic script is the conventional language of a formal wedding, and the alternates let a couple's names be tuned letter by letter.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm invitation: set the names at 30 pt on one row, keep 20 mm of clear ground beneath before the venue at 9 pt, and hold 16 mm of margin so the flourish is not cut.
Pre-production check
Fine joins break on uncoated card; print one invitation on the intended stock and check a connector before the suite.
A classic script on a small label reads as a house mark rather than a product name, which is what a confectioner wants on a box.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 55 by 40 mm label: set the house name at 14 pt on one row, keep 5 mm of clear ground beneath before the weight at 4.5 pt, and hold 4 mm from the curl to the die line.
Pre-production check
The curled capital fills in on a small label; print one at the real size and check the T before the order.
One classic script word signals a wedding supplement, and the swashes give a cover a flourish that a serif cannot supply.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm cover: set the cover word at 100 pt on one row, keep 30 mm of clear ground beneath before the cover lines at 12 pt, and hold 22 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Heavy contrast can look thin at 100 pt on newsprint; print one cover on the actual stock and check the joins before the run.
