Slab capitals with polka dots
Sugar Polka Dot is a colour display on a black ground: tall slab-like capitals in vivid pink, orange, blue, green and yellow, each covered with large white dots, with a thin outline, a plain name line above and a studio credit beneath.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The plate is a plain specimen, and that is why it is useful: five capitals on black at a size where the dot spacing can be judged, with nothing else competing. The letters are tall slab-like blocks, so the dots sit on a broad flat surface and read as a pattern rather than as a texture, and the thin outline holds each letter against the black. The dot size sets the size floor, since the white circles merge into a tone first, but the coarse spacing means the face survives a smaller size than most dotted novelty faces. The name line and the credit are product copy. It suits a shirt, a card and a party poster with a bold palette.

A dotted display names a young birthday, and the vivid colours hold on a white card where a pastel face would look weak.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A6 card: the greeting at 30 pt, the details in a 10 pt sans, and the date at 9 pt. Keep 15 mm margins, print four colours on a white card and leave 12 mm at the foot for the address.
Pre-production check
Check the 30 pt greeting at home-print resolution, where the dots close into a tone; keep the dots above 1.2 mm. Confirm the details read at arm's length and that the card folds flat.
A dotted display prints as party kit, and the bright palette reads on a light shirt from a few metres away. It reads from a few metres.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 240 mm chest graphic: the party at 50 mm cap height, the year at 24 mm, and four inks on a light shirt. Keep the smallest dot at 3 mm and place the graphic 80 mm below the collar.
Pre-production check
Check the screen at actual mesh, where a 3 mm dot can fill; enlarge it to 4 mm. Wash-test one shirt and confirm the dots stay round after five cycles.
A dotted poster reads in a corridor, and the tall blocks fit a long event name in a narrow measure. It fits a long name.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A3 poster: the event at 80 mm cap height, the times in an 18 mm sans, and the venue at 11 mm. Keep 26 mm margins, print four colours on a light stock and keep the dots above 3 mm.
Pre-production check
Check the A3 at four metres, where the dots merge into a tone; keep them above 3 mm. Confirm the 11 mm venue reads at two metres and that the title fits the measure.
