Irregular typewriter-style serif lettering
Remington Weather is an irregular typewriter-style serif: uneven slab serifs, slightly differing letter heights and a warm old-print feel, shown beside an engraved illustration of a vintage machine.

Fine grain and micro-texture excel in 300 DPI print, sublimation, and screen print rather than small vinyl weeding.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Vintage, Script and Feeling are stacked at the right of the card in a slab-serifed face that imitates a typewriter: the stems are even, the serifs are blunt rectangles, and the letters sit at slightly different heights and weights so the line looks struck rather than set. The curves of the S and the g are a little cramped, the e has an almost closed eye, and the baseline wanders by a fraction between the three lines. On the left an engraved illustration of a typewriter sits on white, and there is no other element. The face is a text-weight display for bookish brands, letterpress-style cards and editorial headings: because the irregularity is small, it holds at paragraph size better than most display faces, and it can be printed in a single ink on uncoated stock.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Remington Weather’s stroke geometry.
A typewriter slab reads as printed matter rather than as branding, which is what a bookshop wants on its card and its bag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an 85 by 55 mm card: set the shop name at 14 pt on one row, keep 6 mm of clear ground beneath before the address at 6.5 pt, and hold 5 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Blunt serifs can fill in on a small letterpress plate; print one card in the intended process and check the e before the order.
The typewriter irregularity separates a books page from the rest of a paper without a rule, and it holds at heading size on newsprint.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm page: set the section head at 44 pt on one row, keep 16 mm of clear ground beneath before the standfirst at 10.5 pt, and hold 18 mm of margin on both sides.
Pre-production check
Newsprint spreads a slab serif; print one page on the actual stock and check the counters before the issue.
A typewriter face sets a literary tone that a script cannot, and it stays readable for older guests at a modest size where a fine script would fail them.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm invitation: set the names at 24 pt on one row, keep 18 mm of clear ground beneath before the details at 9.5 pt, and hold 15 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
A typewriter face at 24 pt can look like a letter rather than an invitation; print one on the intended card and check the tone before the suite.
