Single-line hairline display with doubled strokes
Purely Digital is a single-line display in ink on tan torn paper: letters drawn as a hairline contour with a second line inside them, very tall and narrow, with open counters and no fill anywhere.

Visual anatomy & craft review
Two words are stacked on a torn sheet and the face is a single-line drawing: each letter is a hairline contour, and inside several of them a second hairline runs parallel, so a stroke reads as a pair of lines rather than a solid. The letters are tall and narrow, the counters are open loops, the terminals are blunt, and the whole word reads as a technical drawing or a tracing rather than as printed type. That openness is the point: the face lets a background through entirely, which makes it useful over a texture, and it also means the face needs contrast behind it to read at all. A third line in the same face at a much smaller size names the product, and the ground is a tan torn sheet pinned to a pale grid with a paperclip. The palette is a single dark ink. Purely Digital is a display face for editorial layouts, packaging and posters with a technical or archival mood, and it needs a light ground and a size at which the hairlines print.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Purely Digital’s stroke geometry.
A hairline open face reads as a technical drawing, and the doubled contour gives a cover a texture without any image behind it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 by 280 mm cover: set the title at 90 pt over two lines, keep 24 mm of clear ground beneath before the coverlines at 10 pt, and hold 18 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
Hairlines can drop out on uncoated stock; print one cover on the intended paper and check the lines.
An open hairline label reads as a printed mark rather than a brand, which suits a small studio that sells design work by the hour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 30 mm label: set the name at 12 pt on one line, keep 4 mm of clear ground on all four sides, and hold the label 8 mm above the address line.
Pre-production check
At twelve points the doubled stroke can close into one line; print one label and check before the order.
A single-line face matches what a design worksheet asks students to trace, and the open letters leave room for notes inside them.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 sheet at 210 by 297 mm: set the title at 40 pt over two lines, keep 16 mm of clear ground beneath before the instructions at 11 pt, and hold 18 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
An open face at forty points can look like an outline by accident; proof one sheet and check the doubling.
