Very fine single-line signature script with long crossing strokes
Fidelity Contrasts is a very fine single-line script in which the strokes cross and run long, so a two-word phrase reads as a light wire drawing rather than a written line.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital F opens with a loop that rises above the cap line and crosses its own stem, and the letters after it are drawn at almost one weight: the i and the d keep narrow stems, the e loops back through its bowl, the l and the t rise and cross and the s reverses tightly. Because the line is a true single weight, there is no contrast anywhere, and because it is very fine, the phrase reads as a light drawing at 30 pt and only becomes solid at much larger sizes. The strokes cross several times, which is what gives the composition its airy tangle, and the ends taper to points. The cream ground, the faint frame and the small serif caption are presentation; the script is the two words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Fidelity Contrasts’s stroke geometry.
The fine single line gives a title page its lightness, and the crossing strokes keep a plain title from looking empty at 40 pt on a quiet page.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 40 pt on an A5 title page, set the author in a small caps serif at 10 pt, and leave 22 mm between the title and the imprint so the page keeps its air.
Pre-production check
A single line under 0.1 mm drops out of offset; ask for the minimum line weight and thicken the whole line rather than shortening it.
The wire-fine script gives a minimal card its only ornament, and the long crossing strokes fill a landscape format without a second element.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set both names at 26 pt on a 148 by 105 mm card, set the date in a small caps serif at 8 pt, and leave 18 mm of margin so the crossing strokes stay inside the trim.
Pre-production check
Fine single-weight strokes on cream stock can print grey rather than black; check the proof and darken the ink rather than thickening the line.
The light signature suits an envelope front at small size, and the crossovers keep a short pair of names from reading as a plain printed label.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the names at 20 pt in the centre of a 110 by 220 mm envelope, set the address block in a 10 pt serif, and hold 14 mm between the names and the first address line.
Pre-production check
An envelope crease can cross a long stroke; check the artwork against the fold and move the names down if the stroke breaks on the crease.
