Visual anatomy & craft review
Kingdom Black sits across the middle of the card in a textured gold that reads as beaten metal, and the letters are wide with hooked ascenders, sharp shoulders and heavy diamond feet. Above the title a gold crown sits on an ornamental line, and at the sides two dark banners carry drawn lions rampant; the whole composition is framed in a thin gold rule with corner flourishes. A caption above names the face and one below lists three qualities in spaced caps between diamonds. The gold is a texture rather than a flat colour, which is what gives the letters weight, and the frame does the work a photograph would do in another kind of sample — it tells a buyer immediately what world the face belongs to: fantasy titles, game branding, beverage labels and anything that needs a crown without drawing one.
