Visual anatomy & craft review
Kayla Boho is an upright calligraphy script with high-contrast brush strokes, spire-like capitals and coiled descenders that form figure-eight loops on the y and g. Because it stands upright rather than slanting, a long name stays inside a narrow column, and the contrast gives the face a wedding-stationery register. The coils need vertical room below the baseline, and the hairlines need about 18 mm before they hold in print. It is a keepsake and invitation face, best in one dark ink on a soft ground.

An upright high-contrast script reads as engraved romance without the copperplate cliché, which suits a modern ceremony. Upright stems keep a long double-barrelled name inside a narrow card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 120 x 180 mm, names 26 mm with 10 mm below the baseline for coils, details 9/13 pt, 15 mm margins. Vow book 110 x 160 mm, cover 22 mm. Place card 90 x 50 mm, name 9 mm.
Pre-production check
A 9 mm place card loses the hairline exits and the name reads broken. Keep the display script for the invitation and vow book, and set place cards in a companion serif at 9 pt or above.
Upright calligraphy reads as a hand-signed label, which is what a small atelier wants on a tag. Coiled descenders give a short brand name a graphic base without a rule.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Tag 45 x 90 mm, word 10 mm with 6 mm below for the coil, 4 mm eyelet clearance. Label 70 x 45 mm, name 10 mm, 4 mm die margin. Card 85 x 55 mm, name 9 mm, 8 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Woven tags lose any stroke under 1 mm, and a high-contrast script at 10 mm is mostly hairline. Request a woven proof at 1:1, and move that tag to a printed label if the thin strokes break.
Upright loops read as botanical rather than formal, which suits a spring garden event, and the coils echo stem curves without an illustration. Contrast holds over a soft photographic background.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invitation 105 x 148 mm, heading 20 mm, details 7/10 pt, 12 mm margins. Label 60 x 40 mm, word 8 mm, 4 mm die margin. Card 105 x 148 mm, greeting 18 mm, message 7/10 pt.
Pre-production check
Invitations over a photographic floral background need real value contrast, and a hairline over a mid-tone image vanishes. Convert one proof to greyscale and confirm the letters separate before printing.
