Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Graduation is a whimsical decorative serif in mixed case, with curled ball terminals, fairytale loops on the ascenders and four-point star accents supplied as PUA glyphs so the sparkle can be placed deliberately rather than applied as a graphic overlay. The contrast is moderate and the counters stay open, which lets the face hold at 14 pt, and the ball terminals give a word a soft, celebratory edge without the bounce of a script. Because the stars are glyphs, they inherit the text colour and reflow with the line, which is useful on a card set in one ink.

PUA star glyphs sit inside the text flow, so a card can be typeset in one colour and still carry sparkle without an illustration file. Moderate contrast keeps a long congratulation legible at 12 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Topper 200 x 200 mm with a 60 mm fold, word 30 mm with star glyphs at 60 percent size, 15 mm clear of the fold. Frame insert 150 x 100 mm, name 14 mm. Invitation A6, name 14 mm, details 4.5 mm, 10 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Decorative glyphs at small sizes fill the ball terminals and the star becomes a blob. Check the sparkles at 14 pt on paper, and drop them at sizes under 10 mm rather than shrinking them further.
Curled terminals read as storybook magic without a licensed theme, which keeps a birthday invite ownable. Open counters hold a name at 16 mm inside a small A6.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, name 16 mm, details 4.5 mm, 10 mm margins, 3 mm bleed. Programme A5, headings 16 mm, running order 8.5/12 pt. Mug wrap 200 x 85 mm, name 22 mm, 10 mm from the handle.
Pre-production check
Mug decals fire at about 800 degrees and a ball terminal under 0.5 mm can disappear. Ask the printer for the minimum fired line, keep the name at 22 mm or above, and check one fired mug before the batch.
A softened serif reads as a keepsake rather than a certificate, which is what a family wants on a graduation card. Star glyphs let a plain card feel celebratory in one ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Card 148 x 105 mm, greeting 18 mm, message 7/10 pt, 15 mm margins. Frame insert 180 x 130 mm, name 20 mm. Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 90 mm, 40 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Summer open-house signs stand in direct sun, and a printed insert fades within days unless laminated. Use a UV laminate and check one sign after a fortnight outdoors before the event.
