Football Jersey is a varsity slab serif drawn with a double outline: a heavy block letter with a thick inner rule and a second contour around the outside, giving the layered look of a stitched jersey number. The double outline needs clear space on both sides, because the contours collide when letters touch. It needs roughly 34 mm for both outlines to read as separate lines, and it is best in one dark colour with the inner rule knocked out, or in two colours where the outline carries the second.
