Folke is an ornamental monoline signature script in which capitals and ascenders carry figure-eight loops and spirals, so a name reads as copperplate drawn with a flourish rather than as a modern signature. The monoline weight keeps it plot- and foil-friendly, and the loops extend above and below the word, which the layout has to reserve. It needs roughly 26 mm for the spirals to read as deliberate, and it is best in a deep ink on warm sand or as a fine foil on matte board.

Figure-eight loops read as engraved copperplate, which is what a formal wedding suite is imitating. The monoline weight foils and plots evenly, and the flourish gives a short couple name a decorative crown without a separate ornament.

The loops rise above the type box and get trimmed when a sign file is fitted to a frame. Measure the artwork from the top of the highest spiral, and check one framed sign before the day.

A 40 mm tag cannot hold a spiral plus a punched hole, and the loop is cut by the punch. Use the plain initials on small tags, and check one strung tag before the batch.
