Outlined slab serif varsity capitals in solid and inline styles
First Sport is a slab serif varsity family in which the capitals sit square on heavy slabs and ship both solid and outlined, so a team name can be filled or drawn as a contour without changing the shape.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The F sets a heavy arm on a wide stem, the I carries full slabs on both feet, the R closes a square bowl, the S holds a stepped spine and the T spreads a thick bar, all at a slab weight with square serifs and a consistent contour in both styles. The two styles are the character: the outline version lets a dark garment keep a light letter, which is how the sample stacks a solid word over an outlined one. Because the outlines are drawn at a constant width, both cuts hold from 30 pt upward and cut cleanly in vinyl. The sage ground, the letterspaced line above and the small line beneath are presentation; the outlined cream words are the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to First Sport’s stroke geometry.
The outlined cut reads on a dark shirt without a white backing, and the slab shapes hold a club name at 80 mm across a chest.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 300 mm chest print: set the club name at 80 mm in the outline cut, keep the contour at 4 mm, and leave 35 mm of clear fabric beneath for the year in the solid cut.
Pre-production check
An outline under 3 mm breaks up on a dark garment; check the film and widen the contour rather than the letters.
The two styles give a school fixture banner a clear hierarchy, and the square slabs read at 120 mm from the far touchline.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a two-metre banner: set the headline at 120 mm in the solid cut, set the fixture detail at 60 mm in the outline cut beneath, and keep 40 mm of border all round.
Pre-production check
An outlined line at 60 mm on a printed banner can close up; check the proof and keep the contour at 3 mm or more.
The outlined slabs suit a sticker that has to stay light on a dark surface, and the square serifs hold their shape at 40 mm.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 70 mm round sticker: set the word at 40 mm in the outline cut, keep 5 mm inside the die, and set the web address in a 6 pt sans along the lower arc.
Pre-production check
Small text on a round die distorts along the arc; check the sticker and set the address straight across instead.
