Handwritten script with an oversized circular capital and paired tall ascender loops
Daddy is a gentle handwritten script in which one oversized circular capital leads the word, two matching ascender loops rise beside it and a low y turns back beneath the baseline, so a short name reads as a soft signature.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The D draws a near-circle larger than the rest of the word, the d and l lift matching loops, the connectors keep one light weight and the y descends before it curls back under the letters. The scale jump is the character: the capital carries the weight and the body stays small, which is why the sample sets a single short name on a plain ground. Because the loops overlap, the face needs 20 mm between baselines from 26 pt and the joins must be welded before cutting from 1.1 inches of x-height; ligatures ship with the family. The pale ground and the small glyph badge are presentation; the dark script name is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Daddy’s stroke geometry.
The oversized capital gives a short name presence, and the gentle script stays readable at 30 pt on an A6 card in one ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A6 card: set the name at 30 pt, keep 14 mm either side for the capital and the exit loop, and leave the lower half blank for a written message.
Pre-production check
A circular capital printed close to the trim loses its outer edge; check the imposed card and keep 12 mm of margin.
The script suits a small tent card, and the paired loops keep a first name clear at 24 pt at a distance of half a table.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 90 by 50 mm tent card: set the name at 24 pt centred, keep 10 mm either side, and fold 20 mm from the top so the score clears every descender.
Pre-production check
A score run through the returning y stroke splits the printed card; check the imposed card and keep the fold 8 mm below the lowest stroke.
The soft script gives a batch label warmth, and the light body holds at 22 pt on a 45 mm round label applied to a dark glass jar.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 45 mm round label: set the name at 22 pt, keep 6 mm inside the die so the capital stays whole, and set the scent in a 6 pt caps along the lower curve.
Pre-production check
A large capital printed off centre looks like a misprint; check the label and centre on the widest part of the word.
