Soft vintage holiday serif with rounded bowls and curled terminals
Christmas Evergreen is a soft vintage serif in which the bowls are rounded, the terminals curl gently and the contrast is moderate, so a greeting reads as mid-century packaging lettering rather than as a formal serif.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The C opens wide and finishes in a soft curl, the h keeps a rounded shoulder, the r carries a curved arm and the second capital E holds three even arms, all with bracketed serifs and a rounded finish that keeps the word warm at 40 pt. Weight sits in the stems with a moderate contrast, and the rounded bowls keep the face from hardening at poster sizes. The g is the signature letter: it closes a round bowl and drops a tail that curls back under the word, which the sample uses as the visual anchor of the second line. The fit is open enough that a two-word greeting spreads across a wide format. The pale ground, the deep green ink, the fir, the parcel and the three caption lines are presentation; the display face is the two words.

The rounded vintage serif carries a seasonal card at 32 pt without needing an illustration, and the curled g gives the second line its anchor.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 148 by 105 mm card: set the greeting at 32 pt in two lines with 10 mm leading, set the family name in an 8 pt caps serif at the foot, and leave 16 mm of margin so the curled tail stays inside the trim.
Pre-production check
A curled descender printed over a border can collide with it; check the proof with the frame in place and lift the second line by 3 mm.
The soft serif reads on a kraft parcel label at 13 pt and gives a plain box the mid-century shop feel that a modern grotesque would erase.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 90 mm kraft label: set the greeting at 13 pt across the middle, set the recipient in a 6 pt caps serif beneath, and keep 5 mm of margin so the rounded bowls are not cut by the label corner.
Pre-production check
Kraft softens a moderate contrast into a flat line; check a printed label on the actual stock and keep the face on a lighter paper if it flattens.
The rounded vintage weight reads at 12 cm through glass, and the soft bowls keep a seasonal sign warm rather than austere.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Cut a 500 by 300 mm vinyl decal: set the greeting at 12 cm, set the opening dates in a 4 cm caps serif below, and keep 7 cm from the glass edge so the curled tails are not trimmed by the frame.
Pre-production check
Vinyl applied to a cold window in December lifts at the edges; check one installed patch and warm the glass before applying the rest.
