Soft narrow serif with a high looping ascender and outward terminal hooks
Chelone is a soft narrow serif in which the stems curve gently, the bowls stay open, one tall ascender carries a large loop above the word and the final e ends in a long outward hook, so a name reads as playful modern lettering.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The C rounds a narrow spine, the h holds a low arch, the l lifts into a wide loop that crosses the neighbouring letters and the e finishes with a hook that travels up and away. The single looping ascender is the character: one loop per word keeps the line lively without decoration, which is why the sample sets a short name on a pale field. Because the loop and hook leave the letter, a title needs 14 mm of clearance above and 12 mm at the right, and the face wants 24 pt before the fine joins print. The faint petals at the right and the small caption are presentation; the pink serif name is the face.

The narrow serif gives a label its charm, and the light joins stay clear at 18 pt on a 40 mm panel printed on coated stock.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 40 by 65 mm label: set the house name at 18 pt, keep 6 mm from each die edge so the loop stays whole, and set the volume in a 6 pt caps at the foot.
Pre-production check
A loop printed close to a die edge is cut short; check the imposed label and keep 5 mm of clearance.
The playful serif suits a lighter suite, and the open bowls keep a course heading distinct at 20 pt above the dish lines.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 105 by 210 mm menu: set the course headings at 20 pt, set the dishes at 10 pt in a neutral serif, and keep 14 mm between courses so the hook sits clear.
Pre-production check
An outward hook printed into a dish line curls over the text; check the proof and keep 10 mm under the baseline.
The soft narrow forms suit a small invitation, and the looped ascender gives the heading a single accent at 30 pt on an A6 card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A6 card: set the heading at 30 pt, keep 12 mm above for the loop, and set the date at 10 pt in a light serif beneath with 14 mm of clear ground.
Pre-production check
A loop printed near the trim is cropped by the cut; check the imposed card and keep 12 mm of margin at the top.
