Tall condensed classic serif with narrow bowls and fine hairlines
Fashionable is a tall condensed serif in which the stems stretch upward, the bowls narrow and the hairlines stay fine, so a single word reads as a magazine masthead rather than as a title.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The F sets three narrow arms on a thin stem, the A pinches a high apex, the S holds a narrow spine, the H keeps two tall stems with a fine bar and the I carries hairline serifs, all at a high contrast with a very condensed proportion and fine unbracketed serifs. The condensation is the character: at one cap height the face covers about two thirds of the width of a normal serif, which is how the sample fits a long word on one line. Because the stems are thin, it needs 40 pt upward and a coated stock, and it should not be set in a paragraph. The white ground, the small tinted lines and the corner label are presentation; the black condensed word is the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Fashionable’s stroke geometry.
The condensed fit sets a long supplement title on one line, and the fine hairlines give the masthead a couture edge at 100 pt.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A3 cover: set the masthead at 100 pt with 1 percent tracking, keep 25 mm of margin at each side, and set the issue line in a 10 pt sans 24 mm beneath.
Pre-production check
Condensed hairlines at tight tracking can touch on the A and the S; check the imposed page and add a hair of tracking.
The tall fit suits a narrow boutique label, and the fine hairlines hold a shop name at 22 pt on a coated tag in one ink.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 40 by 90 mm tag: set the boutique name at 22 pt running up the label, set the price in a 6 pt sans at the foot, and keep 4 mm from the die so the hairlines stay whole.
Pre-production check
Hairlines printed on a narrow die-cut tag can break; check the imposed tag and keep 3 mm of clear ground.
The condensed serif keeps a long dish name on one line, and the high contrast holds the course heading at 20 pt on a card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 105 by 210 mm menu: set the dish names at 20 pt, set the courses in a 9 pt caps serif, and keep 12 mm between courses so the tall ascenders clear the rule above.
Pre-production check
Tall ascenders printed against a leader rule look like a fault; check the proof and open the gap by 3 mm.
