Chalkboard is a rounded mixed-case classroom face whose letters stay inside clean outlines filled with even diagonal sketch stripes, so a word looks chalked onto a board rather than printed. The stripes run at one angle across every letter, which means the fill reads as texture only when the letters are large enough for several stripes to cross a stroke, and the outlines keep the counter shapes open at small sizes. It needs roughly 20 mm for the stripes to read, and it is best in white on green board or in a single colour on kraft.
