Fine sloping flourished script with long entry and exit strokes
British Poems is a fine sloping script whose two words are joined by open flourishes and whose entry and exit strokes run well beyond the letters, so a title reads as one engraved line.

Fine grain and micro-texture excel in 300 DPI print, sublimation, and screen print rather than small vinyl weeding.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital B opens with a narrow loop above the cap line and then two shaded lobes before the stroke rises into a long fine flourish that carries the eye to the second word. The lowercase letters are small and closely set: the r and the i keep narrow stems, the t is crossed by a bar that extends beyond the letter, and the s closes into a tight double curve. Contrast is moderate, with shaded stems and hairline joins, and the word finishes with an exit flourish that mirrors the entry. That framing is what gives the line its engraved quality at title size. Ends taper to points, and the baseline stays level across both words. The faint castle watercolour behind, the small bird ornament and the two tracked captions are presentation; the script is the two words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to British Poems’s stroke geometry.
The two outer flourishes frame a short title as a single engraved line, and the moderate contrast keeps the words legible at 40 pt on an uncoated page.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 40 pt on an A5 title page, set the author in a small caps serif at 10 pt, and leave 20 mm between the title's exit flourish and the first poem.
Pre-production check
Uncoated poetry stock closes hairline joins; print the title page on the actual paper and thicken the joins a fraction if they break.
A flourished script suits a venue with history, and the framed entry and exit make a pair of names read as a composed line rather than two separate words.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set both names at 24 pt on a 120 by 180 mm card, set the details in a small caps serif at 8 pt, and hold 16 mm at each end so neither flourish is cut by the trim.
Pre-production check
A long flourish near the trim looks cut even when it is intact; check the proof at final size and inset both ends by 6 mm before the run.
The engraved quality signals antiquarian stock, and the fine stroke reproduces well when the mark is blind-embossed on a card or a bookplate.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the dealer's name at 14 pt on a 90 by 50 mm card, keep the specialities in a 6 pt caps serif, and leave 10 mm of clearance so the outer flourishes have air.
Pre-production check
Blind embossing a hairline flourish needs a shallow die; check an embossed dummy and simplify the tightest curl if the paper splits.
