Fine loose handdrawn script with tall flicks and an uneven baseline
Baked Toast is a fine loose script drawn quickly by hand, its ascenders flicking upward, its baseline uneven and its joins breaking where the pen lifted, so a phrase reads as a note rather than a set line.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital B is drawn as a narrow loop and a stem that does not quite close, and the letters after it keep that looseness: the a and the k sit at slightly different heights, the e closes loosely, the d flicks up at the end of its stem and the T and the o vary in size. Weight is fine throughout but varies a little with the speed of the drawing, and several joins are interrupted, which is what gives the line its energy. The baseline rises and settles across the phrase, the ascenders are tall and the descenders are short, so the word reads as a quick note on a wall. The photograph of poured batter and the two caption lines are presentation; the script is the two words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Baked Toast’s stroke geometry.
A loose hand signals bread made by hand in small batches, and the fine uneven stroke prints well on kraft where a heavy face would look manufactured.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the product name at 15 pt on a 60 by 80 mm kraft label, keep the weight in a 6 pt sans, and hold 6 mm of margin so the flick of the last letter stays inside the label.
Pre-production check
Kraft absorbs and a fine loose join can break; print one label on the real stock and take the name to 17 pt if the joins start to disappear.
The loose hand gives a food feature a kitchen voice, and the fine stroke keeps the header light above a dense column of recipe text.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the header at 44 pt on the opening page, keep the recipe text in a 9 pt serif at 13 pt leading, and hold 16 mm between the header and the first column.
Pre-production check
A loose uneven baseline can look like a misprint in an editorial setting; check the page proof and keep the drift small at the ends only.
The quick hand suits a card tucked into a bread bag, and the fine weight means the printed thanks does not compete with the baker's own note written beside it.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the greeting at 16 pt on a 90 by 55 mm card, keep the order details in a 6 pt sans along the foot, and leave the right third of the card blank for a handwritten line.
Pre-production check
Cards in a bread bag pick up grease; print on an uncoated stock and check that the fine stroke does not blur once handled.
