Visual anatomy & craft review
Wild Western is a colorable inline-outlined Western cowboy Tuscan slab: heavy unbracketed slabs that split into a forked foot, a wide inline running down each stem and a small spur at the shoulder, delivered so the inline can be filled with any colour. The forked feet are the design and they close first when the face is reduced, and the inline invites a second colour. It needs roughly 32 mm for the fork and the inline to read, and it is best as a two-colour flat print on uncoated stock, or a one-colour cut where the inline becomes a knock-out path.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Wild Western’s stroke geometry.
A cowboy Tuscan reads as a printed frontier bill rather than a modern flyer, which is what an autumn fair wants on a fence. The forks hold at 100 mm on a poster, and two flat inks print the poster and the prize labels in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 100 mm with 12 mm fork clearance, details 34 mm, 20 mm margins. Tent sign 600 x 400 mm, word 90 mm, 25 mm margins. Prize label 90 x 60 mm, word 18 mm, 5 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 90 x 60 mm prize label at 18 mm fills the inline and the word reads as a stain. Raise the label word to 24 mm, and print one label before the batch.
A Western Tuscan reads as a routed ranch sign rather than a modern logo. The forks hold at 90 mm on a sign, and two flat inks print the sign and the cards in one order.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 1200 x 400 mm, word 140 mm with 12 mm fork clearance, 25 mm safe edge. Card 85 x 55 mm, word 16 mm, 5 mm margins. Door plate 300 x 80 mm, word 40 mm, 10 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A 300 x 80 mm plate at 40 mm fills the inline and the mark reads as a solid bar. Raise the plate to 50 mm or keep the inline at 2.5 mm, and check one plate before the run.
A cowboy Tuscan reads across an arena at distance where a thin face would vanish. The forks hold at 150 mm on a poster, and two flat inks print the poster and the tote from one separation.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 150 mm with 15 mm fork clearance, details 44 mm, 20 mm margins. Arena banner 3000 x 800 mm, word 260 mm, 60 mm safe edge. Tote print 300 x 300 mm, word 70 mm, 25 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Screen printed on a tote at 70 mm the forks bridge and fill after a wash. Use a 2 mm stencil bridge on the feet, and wash one sample before the order.
