Very heavy broad display with cuts
Vankis is a very heavy broad display in cream on maroon: wide capitals with thick strokes, inward cuts at the joins, squared bowls and a starburst ornament over the final stem, set as one word across the foot of the plate beneath a paragraph of specification text and four footer credits.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The plate is laid out like a type-foundry announcement: a paragraph of description at the top, the wordmark across the foot, and four small credits along the bottom. That arrangement is worth noting because the paragraph is set in a light sans rather than in the display face, which is an honest signal that the face is for headlines only. The drawing is a very heavy broad display with inward cuts at the joins, so the counters stay open at large sizes, and the starburst over the final stem is a supplied ornament. That construction sets a large size floor. The maroon ground makes the cream glow. Because the letters are extremely heavy, the face suits a poster, a logo and a package, and the plate sets the word at a size where the cuts read clearly.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Vankis’s stroke geometry.
A very heavy display fills a cover with one word, and the inward cuts keep the counters readable at poster size. A cover needs one word at full width.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 130 mm cap height across 200 mm, the subtitle in a 9 pt sans, and the year at 8 pt. Print one ink on a matte stock and keep 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 130 mm, where a cut can look like a printing fault; keep it deliberate. Confirm the 8 pt year survives lamination and that the title clears the trim.
A heavy display gives a label a mark that reads on a sleeve spine, and the starburst ornament can be dropped or kept. A spine mark has to survive at two metres.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the mark at 30 pt on a sleeve, 120 mm on a poster and 16 pt on a card, keeping the cuts only above 26 pt. Keep two colours and hold clear space equal to half the mark height.
Pre-production check
Check the 16 pt card mark, where a cut can close; keep the size above 18 pt. Confirm the sleeve spine reads at two metres and that the starburst prints as a solid shape.
A heavy broad display stops a passer-by, and the wide letters fill a poster with a short name. Street posters are read in a second.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A1 poster: the festival at 220 mm cap height, the dates in a 26 mm sans, and the site at 12 mm. Keep 30 mm margins and print two colours on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the A1 at five metres, where an inward cut can read as damage; keep the cuts even. Confirm the 12 mm site reads at two metres and that the dates clear the block.
