Heavy rounded retro script
Thick is a heavy rounded retro script in black on white: very fat even strokes, a capital T drawn as a wide swash that runs above the word, and a low slanted body with tight loops.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The name fills the frame, and the face is a display script built on weight: the T opens as a broad curve that travels the width of three letters, the h and the i are fat and narrow, the c closes into a round bowl and the k throws a leg out to the right, while the letters connect in a tight rhythm and the baseline sits low. The stroke is even and very heavy with rounded terminals, the counters are small and the whole word reads at a distance, which is what makes it work on a garment or a shopfront rather than only on paper. The specimen sits on a white fabric photograph with a curved line of small caps beside the word and two lines of tracked serif beneath. Thick is a display script for apparel, signage, packaging and retro branding, and it needs a short word and a large size to keep the counters open.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Thick’s stroke geometry.
A fat retro script reads across a room and gives a plain board the look of a painted hotel sign, which suits a party with a vintage dress code.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 600 by 400 mm board: set the greeting at 100 pt over two lines, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the names at 24 pt, and hold 22 mm of border on all four sides.
Pre-production check
Fat letters merge when painted on a board; print one at the final size and check the counters before the set.
A heavy retro script gives a cover a bold single word, and the thick strokes hold over a photograph where a hairline script would disappear.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm cover: set the cover word at 90 pt on one line, keep 24 mm of clear ground beneath before the cover lines at 11 pt, and hold 20 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Small counters fill in at ninety points on uncoated paper; print one cover on the intended stock and check the e and the c before the run.
A retro script sets a period tone for a music feature, and one fat word against white space reads as a designed opener rather than a headline.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm opener: set the title at 80 pt on one line, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the standfirst at 11 pt, and hold 22 mm of margin on both sides.
Pre-production check
A slanted script on a wide page can look off-centre; print one opener and check the optical alignment before the issue.
