Very tall contrasting capitals with long curved extensions and ligatures
Romane is a very tall modern serif in which the capitals stretch, the hairlines stay slender, the R leg sweeps below the line and a large loop rises around the central A, so a name reads as a couture title with movement at both ends.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The R curves its leg far under the baseline, the A carries a rising loop around its apex, the O closes a tall narrow bowl and every stem holds a fine contrast that thins at the joins, with ligatures available for awkward pairs. The sweeping extensions are the character: ornament arrives from the letters themselves, which is why the sample sets one name on black with floral artwork behind. Because the hairlines are fine, the face wants coated stock from 18 pt and the loop needs 18 mm of clear space above the cap line. The red flowers and stars behind the title are artwork; the cream capitals are the face.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Romane’s stroke geometry.
The sweeping leg and loop give a heading ceremony, and the fine capitals keep a pair of names readable at 28 pt on heavy card stock.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm card: set the names at 28 pt, keep 20 mm above for the loop, and set the venue at 9 pt in a neutral serif beneath with 16 mm of clear ground.
Pre-production check
A loop printed into the venue line tangles with the first letter; check the proof and keep 16 mm under the cap line.
The tall contrast gives a wordmark elegance, and the fine serif holds at 30 pt on a foil-stamped box lid stamped in one colour.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 60 mm lid: set the atelier name at 30 pt, keep the sweeping leg 10 mm clear of the plate edge, and keep the thinnest hairline at 0.4 mm.
Pre-production check
A hairline below 0.3 mm breaks on a foil plate; check the die proof and thicken the thinnest join.
The tall letters fill a cover column, and the sweeping extensions give a single word movement at 78 pt across a printed page.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A4 cover: set the title at 78 pt across the upper half, keep every extension 20 mm inside the trim, and set the standfirst at 10 pt in a light serif beneath.
Pre-production check
Extensions printed past the trim look cut; check the imposed cover and pull the ornament inside the edge.
