Visual anatomy & craft review
The word sits across a photograph of a milkshake, and the face is a handwriting script with a compact build: the m is narrow with three short arches, the i and the l are short, the k throws a small leg, the s curls tight and the final e turns into a horizontal tail that runs out to the right, so a nine-letter word fits a moderate measure without shrinking. The stroke is medium and even, the axis is upright and the ascenders rise only just above the x-height, which is what keeps the word low and wide rather than tall. A long entry tail arrives from the left margin at the same height, giving the design a ruled feel without a rule. A tracked capital line above and a tracked capital line below frame the word. Milkshake is a script for labels, packaging, café branding and cards.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Milkshake’s stroke geometry.
A compact script with tails holds a long word on a narrow board, and the upright axis keeps it readable at a distance where a slanted script would wobble.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 300 by 200 mm board: set the word at 60 pt on one line, keep 18 mm of clear ground beneath before the note at 16 pt, and hold 20 mm of margin on both sides for the tails.
Pre-production check
The tails can be cut by a board edge; print one at the final size and check both ends before the set.
A compact script fits a long product name inside a narrow wrap label, and the even stroke prints cleanly on a matte surface.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 50 by 85 mm wrap label: set the product at 14 pt on one line, keep 6 mm of clear ground beneath before the weight at 4.5 pt, and hold 4 mm of margin at both ends.
Pre-production check
A wrap label curves and distorts the tails; print one on the real bottle and check the ends before the order.
A small card needs a warm hand that still reads at a glance, and the compact letters let a short message sit comfortably under the greeting.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 105 by 148 mm card: set the greeting at 26 pt on one line, keep 14 mm of clear ground beneath before the message at 10 pt, and hold 13 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
The tails use width a small card does not have; print one card at the finished size and check the fitting before the batch.
