Vintage script with a heavy swash underline
Milestone is a vintage script in gold on navy: a heavy connected script with a swash that runs beneath the word and lifts into a broad tail, presented over a collage of old photographs and a badge block.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Milestone fills the card in one word, and the lettering is a bold script drawn for signage: the M opens with a wide shoulder, the i and the l rise into narrow loops, the s turns over tightly and the final e runs into a swash that sweeps below the word and lifts at the right into a broad tail. The stroke is a heavy monoline with a slight swelling on the curves, and the whole word is set in gold with a printed texture that reads as foil or worn ink. The ground is a collage of vintage photographs behind a navy overlay, and a badge block at the foot lists the alternates and the ligatures beside a monogram. The face is a retro script for apparel, packaging and event material: the underline swash is part of the composition and needs room beneath the baseline.

A gold script over a dark board reads at the far end of a room, and the swash gives the sign the sweep a decorator would paint by hand.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 600 by 400 mm board: set the greeting at 110 pt on one row, keep 30 mm of clear ground beneath so the swash is not crowded by the line under it, and hold 24 mm of border.
Pre-production check
Foil on a painted board is hard to match to the file; print one board on the intended material and check the tone before the set.
A retro script with a swash reads as a heritage brand, which is what a small brewery is selling as much as the beer itself.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 90 mm bottle label: set the name at 18 pt on one row, keep 7 mm of clear ground beneath before the style at 5 pt, and hold 4 mm from the swash to the die line.
Pre-production check
The swash runs long on a bottle label; print one at the real size and check both ends before the order.
A vintage script sets a period for a feature about old teams, and the swash gives the cover a headline shape without a bar.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm cover: set the cover word at 96 pt on one row, keep 30 mm of clear ground beneath before the cover lines at 12 pt, and hold 22 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Textured gold on newsprint can look dirty; print one cover on the actual stock and judge the texture before the run.
