Visual anatomy & craft review
Marie Chunky is a tall cartoon display that mixes uppercase and lowercase bubble shapes inside thin dark outlines with a white die-cut sticker shadow behind each letter, so a word reads as a sticker sheet rather than as type. The mixed case is what keeps it lively, and the sticker shadow means the letters should not be re-exported on a coloured ground without it. It needs roughly 26 mm for the die-cut edge to read, and it is best in pastel fills with a white border on a soft grey or cream ground.

Die-cut sticker letterforms give a party set the look of a sticker book, which is what a young child's birthday is. The mixed case keeps a name playful, and the white shadow separates letters from a busy invitation background without extra outlining.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sticker 60 mm round, word 10 mm, 3 mm die margin and 4 mm clear of the cut. Invite A6, word 40 mm, details 8/11 pt, 12 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, word 45 mm with an 8 mm slot and 10 mm clear.
Pre-production check
A 60 mm sticker cuts the white die-cut shadow on the die line and the sticker loses its border. Keep the artwork 4 mm inside the cut, and pull one sticker before the sheet.
Sticker-style letterforms read as a magazine for young readers, which is what a pull-out section wants. The white border holds the word over a coloured illustration, and the mixed case gives the header energy without an exclamation mark.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Header 210 x 60 mm, word 34 mm, 12 mm margins. Activity page A4, title 30 mm, body 12/16 pt, 20 mm margins. Poster A2, word 240 mm, details 22/28 pt, 30 mm margins.
Pre-production check
A header printed over a busy illustration leaves the white border blending into a white background area and the letters merge. Add a 0.5 mm grey keyline outside the border, and check one printed page before the run.
Bouncy sticker caps read as a display a teacher assembled, which is what a primary wall shows. The mixed case keeps names friendly at 90 mm, and the white border lets letters overlap on a coloured board without muddying.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Display 1200 x 300 mm, letters 180 mm cut from card with 12 mm bridges. Sign 600 x 400 mm, word 110 mm, 40 mm margins. Chart A3, header 40 mm, names 9 mm, rows on a 12 mm pitch.
Pre-production check
Letters overlapping on a display board hide each other's white border and the word reads as a pile. Keep 3 mm of gap between letters on the board, and lay out one row before fixing the set.
