Mallestian Script is a two-style Copperplate calligraphy family with PUA-encoded alternates, tall oval flourishes above the capitals and deep looped descenders, drawn at a formal slant with high contrast. The flourishes extend well beyond the word, so a layout must reserve space on all four sides, and the hairlines need roughly 24 mm before they hold in print. It is a luxury stationery face for invitations, certificates and labels, and it is at its best in one metallic or dark ink on a smooth coated stock.

Foil at 18 pt on a carton bridges the fine loops and the flourish becomes a solid dot. Specify a flat foil die without fine detail, or print in ink and reserve foil for a rule.

Formal calligraphy gives an award an engraved register, which is the point of a certificate. A poetry cover uses the same family at a larger size without a second face.
