Rounded compact looping script with heavy strokes and short ascenders
Honey Doodle is a rounded compact script with heavy even strokes, short ascenders and tight letterfit, so a word reads as a friendly written badge rather than a flowing line.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The capital H opens as a small loop that does not rise far above the x-height, and the letters after it keep that compactness: the o and the n close round bowls, the y drops a short curved tail, the D carries a heavy bowl and the two d and the l repeat the same short stems. Weight is heavy and constant, joins carry the same weight as the stems, and the terminals are fully rounded, which is what gives the phrase its sticker quality. Nothing tapers, the ascenders barely clear the x-height, and the letterfit is tight enough that a two-word phrase reads as one solid shape. Counters stay open at small sizes. The pale honey photograph behind, the arched caption and the two small lines beneath are presentation; the script is the two words.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Honey Doodle’s stroke geometry.
The compact heavy script reads at sticker size and the tight fit lets a two-word phrase fill a round die without shrinking the letters.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the phrase at 14 pt on a 50 mm round sticker, keep the shop name in a 6 pt sans, and leave 5 mm inside the die so the rounded terminals do not follow the cut.
Pre-production check
A round die cuts close to a tight phrase; check the artwork against the die and inset the line rather than reducing the point size.
The rounded weight suits a small jar label and holds up on a curved surface where a fine script would disappear against the amber contents.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the greeting at 12 pt on a 45 mm square jar label, keep both names in a 6 pt sans beneath it, and leave 5 mm of margin so nothing is caught by the edge.
Pre-production check
Jars handled after filling pick up grease; print on a matte stock and check that the ink does not offset onto fingers.
The compact script fits a small tag, and the heavy weight keeps a short thanks visible at 13 pt on a narrow strip of card.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the greeting at 13 pt on a 35 by 70 mm tag, keep the recipient's name in a 7 pt sans beneath, and leave a clear 10 mm band at the top for the punched hole.
Pre-production check
A tight letterfit on a tag can crowd the punch; check the artwork against the hole position and move the line down before printing.
