Visual anatomy & craft review
Easter Bunny Ears is a hand-drawn cartoon alphabet in chunky blocks where every letter and numeral sprouts tall inner rabbit ears, whiskers and a twitchy nose, drawn as part of the glyph rather than added as decoration. The blocks are heavy and wide, the faces are simple, and the extra features sit above the cap line, so the layout needs headroom. It needs roughly 30 mm for the ears to read as ears, and it works best in a bright fill with a dark keyline so the features stay separate at a distance.

Bunny-eared letters tell a child what the sign is for before they can read it, which is what an egg hunt needs. Heavy blocks survive being printed on a small tag stapled to a post.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sign 400 x 600 mm, word 90 mm with 30 mm headroom for the ears, 40 mm margins. Tag 60 x 90 mm, word 12 mm, hole 5 mm clear. Trail marker 150 x 200 mm, numeral 50 mm, 20 mm margins.
Pre-production check
Ears sit above the cap line and are the first element cropped when a print is fitted to a frame. Declare the full artwork box, and check one tag on a post outdoors for contrast against grass.
Cartoon features give a spring birthday a theme without licensed characters, and the heavy blocks cut cleanly as a cake topper. The ears give a short name a graphic silhouette.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Invite A6, name 16 mm with 8 mm headroom, details 4.5 mm, 10 mm margins. Topper 130 x 110 mm, name 45 mm, 8 mm stick slot. Sticker 50 mm round, word 8 mm, 2 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
A topper pushed into icing transfers ink from the area nearest the stick. Keep the artwork above the 8 mm slot line, print single-sided, and check one assembled topper before the party.
Playful letters hold a child's attention on a display, and the heavy shapes take a laminated name without the counters closing. The ears give a heading vertical presence on a wall band.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Display letters 90 mm with 25 mm headroom, 30 mm margins, 55 mm pitch. Name tag 80 x 40 mm, name 10 mm, 3 mm border. Chart heading 400 x 100 mm, word 40 mm.
Pre-production check
Laminated display letters are cut by hand and the ears tear first at their narrowest point. Print on 250 gsm card, laminate before cutting, and check one cut letter against a template.
