Visual anatomy & craft review
CHRISTMAS over PARADE fills the card, and each letter is a fat shape with a coloured contour, a white shadow and a pattern inside: mid-blue with snowflakes, red with green trim and baubles, lime with candy stripes, green with gingerbread men, white with a quilted diamond. On top of the letters sit little figures — a Santa head peeking over the O, a snowman beside the R, reindeer and elves in the counters — and the whole word is dressed with string lights, stars and small snowflakes. A caption at the top names the set, one at the foot states five styles and the formats, and a small credit line closes the card. The arrangement is deliberate: the figures sit high on the letters so the word still reads along a single baseline.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Christmas Parade’s stroke geometry.
The lettering suits an event with a crowd and a float, and the busy detail reads as celebration from across a street rather than as decoration for a table.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A2 poster: set the event name at 120 pt across two rows, keep 32 mm of clear ground beneath before the route at 13 pt, and hold 26 mm of margin so the snow caps are not trimmed.
Pre-production check
Figures on the letters compete with small print; print one poster at the final size and check the title first.
The front carries the season so the inside can hold a photograph, and the layered letters give a home-printed card a finished look.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 120 by 170 mm card: set the greeting at 38 pt across two rows, keep 18 mm of clear ground beneath before the written note, and hold 13 mm from the tallest figure to the card edge.
Pre-production check
Home printers band the gradients; print one card on the actual printer and paper before running the family set.
The face sells the season on a shelf, and the figures inside the letters mean a plain box needs no separate illustration or sticker.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 70 by 50 mm box label: set the bakery name at 15 pt on one row, keep 6 mm of clear ground above for the figures, and hold 5 mm from the contour to the label edge.
Pre-production check
Small labels turn the figures to specks; print one label on the real board and check the O before the order.
