Uneven upright capitals with a rising baseline paired with a fine script
Badhorse is a two-cut pair in which coral capitals rise gently across the line, the widths shift letter to letter and a fine connected script supplies small accents above and below, so a title reads as a hand-composed sign.

Visual anatomy & craft review
The B curls its upper bowl, the S turns a soft spine, the O carries a short underline beneath it and the baseline lifts by a few points across the word, while the script cut runs thin connectors with a light weight. The rising baseline is the character: it gives a plain word motion, which is why the sample sets the caps large with scripts crossing the corners. Set the caps at 40 pt and the script at 20 pt, and weld the script before cutting from 1.1 inches of x-height. The coral field, the white shadow and the small caption are presentation; the capitals and their script accents are the duo.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Badhorse’s stroke geometry.
The rising caps read as a hand-painted sign, and the fine script adds a supporting line at 70 mm and 24 mm on a printed board.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 700 by 300 mm board: set the caps at 70 mm, set the script at 24 mm beneath with 20 mm of clear ground between them, and keep 30 mm of border all round.
Pre-production check
A rising baseline printed under a straight rule looks crooked; check the board and keep the rule out or follow the rise.
The uneven caps give a section head movement, and the fine script carries the page reference at 42 pt and 14 pt on a printed spread.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 mm spread: set the section head at 42 pt, set the script reference at 14 pt in the outer margin, and keep 14 mm of clear ground between them.
Pre-production check
A script accent printed into the body column crowds the first line; check the spread and keep 12 mm of margin.
The pair composes a small card without a second family, and the caps stay clear at 32 pt with a script line beneath in one ink on cream.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print an A6 card: set the caps at 32 pt at the head, set the script at 18 pt beneath with 14 mm of clear ground, and keep 12 mm of margin at both ends for the rise.
Pre-production check
A rising line printed to the trim loses its last letter; check the imposed card and keep 12 mm at the right edge.
