Crisp hairline serifs shine on stationery, foil stamping, and packaging; add slight offset for small decals.
Visual anatomy & craft review
ACTRIST fills the upper half of the card in a pale cream on a dark green ground, and the letters are wide with a strong contrast between the heavy stems and the hairline joins; the italic Stylish beneath it is the same design slanted with its own drawn italic forms rather than an oblique. A small ornament and a line of spaced caps sit above, and a paragraph of small text at the foot describes the family as six weights with six true italics. The composition is the point of the sample: a fashion face is sold on how it looks in a caption on a photograph, and the thin hairlines against a dark ground show both the elegance and the risk, because those hairlines are the first thing to disappear on a cheap press.

The high contrast reads as a magazine masthead, and the roman with the true italic gives a cover two voices without a second family.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm cover: set the masthead at 120 pt on one row with the strap in the italic at 14 pt, keep 30 mm of clear ground between them, and hold 20 mm from the widest letter to the trim.
Pre-production check
Hairlines drop out on uncoated stock; print one cover on the intended paper and check a join before the run.
The face gives a young label the look of an established house, and the italic supplies a secondary voice for swing tags and lookbooks.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 90 mm swing tag: set the wordmark at 18 pt and the season in the italic at 7 pt, keep 8 mm of clear ground between them, and hold 6 mm from the wordmark to the tag edge.
Pre-production check
Small italics lose their drawn curves; print one tag at the final size and check the italic a before the order.
The face suits a couple who want a formal invitation without a script, and the italic carries the venue line without a second typeface.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 148 by 210 mm invitation: set the names at 30 pt with the venue in the italic at 10 pt, keep 20 mm of clear ground between the lines, and hold 16 mm of margin left and right.
Pre-production check
Thin serifs break in letterpress; print one invitation in the intended process and check the joins before the suite.
