Visual anatomy & craft review
The word sits alone on the sheet, and the face is a handwriting script with an unusual device: the letters themselves are compact and round, with short ascenders, tight joins and a small exit on every letter, while a single long tail enters from the left margin at x-height and another leaves to the right, so the word reads as hanging on a wire. The stroke is medium and even, the slant is nearly upright and the counters are small, which keeps nine letters inside a narrow measure. The ground is a pale photograph of white roses, and two tracked captions frame the word above and below. Welcome is a script for signage, packaging and stationery that needs a greeting to read at a glance, and the tails mean the design has to allow width rather than a tight box.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Welcome’s stroke geometry.
A compact script with long tails carries a greeting across a doorway, and the tails give the sign a finished edge on a plain panel.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 600 by 300 mm panel: set the word at 140 pt on one line, keep 24 mm of clear ground beneath before the hours at 24 pt, and hold 30 mm of margin on both sides for the tails.
Pre-production check
The tails can be cut by a panel edge; print one at the final size and check both ends before the set.
A single warm word opens a seasonal feature without a photograph, and the tails give the page a drawn rule that a plain headline cannot.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm opener: set the word at 120 pt on one line, keep 26 mm of clear ground beneath before the standfirst at 11 pt, and hold 30 mm of margin on both sides of the page.
Pre-production check
A long tail can run into a column; print one opener at the finished size and check the fitting before the issue.
A short greeting fits a small label, and the horizontal tails turn a plain box top into a designed panel without a border.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 90 by 60 mm label: set the word at 22 pt on one line, keep 7 mm of clear ground beneath before the name at 7 pt, and hold 8 mm of margin on both sides for the tails.
Pre-production check
At twenty-two points the tails may reach the die; print one on the real stock and check both ends before the order.
