Experimental looping mixed case
Wapilor is an experimental mixed-case display in orange on cream: rounded geometric letters with a pointed W, a p whose bowl extends into a long loop and an r drawn as a hook, set as one word over a pale green swirl, with tracked corner notes naming the regular and italic cuts and a small line of description at the foot.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The word runs the width and the drawing is deliberately irregular: most letters are rounded and geometric, but the p carries a descender that loops back to the cap height and the r is drawn as a hook with no stem in the usual place, so the face reads as an experiment rather than as a neutral sans. That is the point of the cut, and the plate is honest about the cost by showing the letters at a size where the substitutions are legible. The pale green swirl behind the word is a graphic element rather than part of the type, and the corner notes name the two cuts. Because the loops need room, the face works at display sizes with generous tracking, and the specimen keeps one word so the behaviour of each letter is visible.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Wapilor’s stroke geometry.
An experimental face gives a studio a mark that reads as a studio rather than as a supplier, and the drawn loops survive on a large panel.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the mark at 22 pt on a card, 90 mm on a panel and 14 pt in a footer, keeping the loops only above 22 pt. Keep one colour and clear space equal to the loop depth.
Pre-production check
Check the 14 pt footer, where the p loop can collide with the line below; drop it at that size. Confirm the panel mark reads at five metres and that the loops stay inside the edge.
An experimental face gives an annual the year's character, and the looped letters give the title a single graphic gesture without an illustration.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Set the title at 85 mm cap height across 200 mm, the subtitle in a 10 pt sans, and the year at 8 pt. Print one ink on a cream stock and keep the swirl clear of the subtitle.
Pre-production check
Check the title at 85 mm, where a loop can collide with the subtitle; keep 12 mm between them. Confirm the 8 pt year survives lamination and that the loops clear the trim.
A quirky display sets a festival apart from the plain sans that every other poster on the wall uses, and the loops read at distance.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
A2 poster: the name at 90 mm cap height, the dates in a 20 mm sans, and the venue at 10 mm. Keep 28 mm margins and print two colours on a light stock.
Pre-production check
Check the poster at five metres, where the loops can merge with the word beside them; keep 8 mm between words. Confirm the 10 mm venue reads at three metres and that the title fits.
