Serif capitals and slanted script
Stay Weekend is a duo on a striped cream and blue ground: wide serif capitals in navy with fine hairline serifs, and a fat slanted script in coral beneath them, with a sticker badge and a photographed figure.

Visual anatomy & craft review
STAY fills the top of the card in wide serif capitals, and the letters carry fine hairline serifs with a marked contrast: the S and the A are broad, the T has a wide arm and the Y closes with a narrow junction. Weekend follows beneath in a fat slanted script whose bowls are almost circular and whose ascenders lean hard, so the two voices sit at very different weights on the same card. A yellow starburst sticker states the duo, a green block carries the studio name, and a cut-out photograph of a figure on a knitted pouf fills the lower right, which shows the pair in a lifestyle layout rather than a specimen. The duo is an editorial and packaging combination: the serif carries a word at a distance, the script carries a personal line.

A wide serif over a fat script is a contemporary invitation structure, and the two voices separate the names from the practical details without a third typeface.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 130 by 180 mm invitation: set the names at 30 pt in the script, set the venue and times at 9 pt in the serif with 18 mm of clear ground, and hold 15 mm of margin.
Pre-production check
A fat script at thirty points can swamp a fine serif beside it; print one invitation at the finished size and check the two weights balance before the suite.
A wide serif with a script beneath is a magazine cover in two moves, and the contrast lets the cover work with or without a photograph.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 230 by 300 mm cover: set the cover word at 84 pt in the serif, set the standfirst at 40 pt in the script with 26 mm of clear ground, and hold 20 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Hairline serifs can break on newsprint; print one cover on the actual stock and check the thinnest stroke before the run.
The pair gives a hotel a name and a line in one purchase, and the script supplies the warmth that a plain serif alone would not.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 70 by 45 mm label: set the house name at 14 pt in the serif, set the line at 8 pt in the script with 5 mm of clear ground, and hold 4 mm of margin on all sides.
Pre-production check
Two very different weights on one small label can look unbalanced; print one at the real size and check the ratio before the order.
