Typewriter serif with a warm even stroke
Shine Typewriter is a vintage typewriter serif in black on white: slab serifs, a moderately heavy even stroke, mixed case and a wide set, shown over a faint illustration of a typewriter with vertical labels down both sides.

Sturdy stroke walls and open counters weed cleanly on adhesive vinyl, HTV apparel film, and cut cardstock.
Visual anatomy & craft review
The face is shown in mixed case in one line at the centre of the page, and it is a typewriter serif with a warm finish: the serifs are small slabs, the stroke is fairly heavy and even with only a trace of contrast, the a and the e keep open counters, the S closes with a soft shoulder and the t carries a full crossbar. The spacing is wide enough that the word reads as typed rather than set, and the lowercase does most of the work here, which is useful: many typewriter faces are only shown in capitals. A very faint illustration of a typewriter sits behind the line, and two vertical lines of tracked capitals run up the sides of the page, one introducing the face and the other describing it. The palette is black on white. Shine Typewriter is a serif for editorial layouts, packaging, correspondence and any design that wants a typed voice, and it works at both text and display sizes.

Concrete hierarchy, scale and production guidance tailored to Shine Typewriter’s stroke geometry.
A typewriter face gives a quote the weight of a document, and the even stroke keeps a long extract readable at a small size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 210 by 280 mm page: set the quote at 13 pt over four lines on a 96 mm measure, keep 12 mm of clear ground above and below, and hold 22 mm of margin on the outer sides.
Pre-production check
An even stroke at thirteen points can look flat in print; check one page on the intended paper before the run.
A typed label suits a small roaster that sells on being hand-run, and the wide set keeps a long origin name readable on a narrow bag.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 60 by 90 mm bag label: set the origin at 9 pt over two lines, keep 5 mm of clear ground beneath before the roast date at 6 pt, and hold 4 mm of margin on all four sides.
Pre-production check
A bag label is handled, not framed; print one on the real kraft paper and check that the letters stay sharp under a thumb.
A typed tag reads as a record rather than a design, and the small slabs stay legible at the size of a hand-written label.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Print a 45 by 70 mm tag: set the variety at 10 pt on one line, keep 4 mm of clear ground above the punched hole, and hold 4 mm of margin on the other sides.
Pre-production check
A punched hole can clip a long variety name; set the text inside the safe area and print one tag before the batch.
