of Scholar Block Outline.

Scholar Block Outline is a collegiate varsity slab drawn as a double line: the letter is an outline with a second outline running inside it, so every stem reads as two parallel tracks with a narrow channel between them. The channel is the whole design and it closes first at small sizes, and the double line makes a heavy face look light on a light ground. It needs roughly 32 mm for both lines and the channel to read, and it is best in one dark ink on white or heather grey, or a two-colour build where the outer line takes the second colour.

Pre-production check

At 24 mm on an embroidered patch the inner line stitches into the outer and the letter fills solid. Keep patch lettering at 34 mm or above, and approve one embroidered sample before the order.

Pre-production check

A 50 x 25 mm woven tag at 10 mm cannot carry two lines and the word stitches as a solid bar. Use a printed tag or the single-line cut, and check one tag before the run.
