Fine grain and micro-texture excel in 300 DPI print, sublimation, and screen print rather than small vinyl weeding.
Visual anatomy & craft review
Necrosarqe is a thick death-metal blackletter in which heavy readable letter cores carry barbed bone spikes along their outer edges, so the word stays legible while the silhouette turns aggressive. The cores are wide and the spikes grow outward, which means the letter is the anchor and the barb can be reduced without destroying the name. Because the fill is heavy, the face reproduces in screen print and vinyl, though the spike tips vanish below roughly 25 mm. It is a logo device for merch, posters and labels rather than a text face.

Barbed blackletter reads as a print that has been on a merch table for years, which is the credibility a small label wants. Heavy cores stay solid in a one-colour screen print on a dark ground.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Hoodie print 300 x 360 mm, word 130 mm, 40 mm margins. Deck 210 x 810 mm, word 110 mm on a 200 mm centre panel. Label 90 x 110 mm, name 18 mm, abv 4.5 pt.
Pre-production check
Spikes under 0.5 mm bridge on a 110-mesh screen and the silhouette becomes a solid mass. Approve a strike-off, and use the reduced variant if the outer contour closes at the delivered size.
A barbed silhouette reads as a warning at a gate, which is what a haunt poster needs, while the readable core still tells a guest where they are. Heavy fill survives PVC printing at size.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Poster A2, word 280 mm, times 24/30 pt, 30 mm margins. Zone sign 900 x 300 mm, word 150 mm, 60 mm margins. Label 70 x 50 mm, word 12 mm, 4 mm die margin.
Pre-production check
Outdoor PVC is printed at 720 dpi and fine barbs stair-step at 280 mm. Ask for a 1:1 crop proof of one letter, and check the edge for stepping before the run.
The face functions as a band mark, which is what an underground release needs without a commissioned logo. Legible cores keep the title readable on a small cassette inlay.
Hierarchy & layout recipe
Sleeve 312 x 312 mm plus 3 mm bleed, word 190 mm, credits 7 pt on a 8 mm baseline. Flyer A5, word 140 mm, date block 10/13 pt, 12 mm margins. Inlay 100 x 64 mm, word 40 mm, 6 mm clear of every trim line.
Pre-production check
Cassette inlays are printed on thin card and cut with a blade, and a barb at the trim gets sliced off. Keep 6 mm clear of every trim line, and check one cut inlay in a case before the run.
